Matt Brothers -- Furniture tips and techniques.  Matt has been making furniture from scratch and repairing antiques following the curator's rules to avoid compromising provenance. He will share some of his secrets with us in this program.

Gary Runyon -- "Tool Steels for Woodworking"  Some knowledge about the stuff your tools are made from and how to treat it.  Gary has been involved with this subject both professionally and as a hobby.

April 16

Vince Zaccardi  “From prototype to Production".   Vince will describe the project for development of stations for the Story Walk project in Tullahoma.  Members of the Club participated in this project and will enjoy a review of the process.

May 21

Loyd Ackerman "Segmented Turning": This program is an introduction to the process of creating segmented vessels from design through completion using short video snippets to substitute for hands on demonstration.  About 35 minutes

As reported here before, the weather took its toll at the annual picnic, so it was decided that the auction should be postponed to allow more members to participate. Why?? *This is a big fundraiser for our club, and we need lots of participation for it to be successful!
You spoke, we listened!! Marvin’s threading program is still going to be in July!! (It was reported that Marvin’s threading program would be postponed for the auction, but thanks to Marvin and Carl for rearranging AGAIN!) We will shorten the business meeting to get us home at a reasonable hour. IT ’ S A DOUBLE HEADER NIGHT!! PROGRAM + AUCTION

Steve Shores will present a program on his Christmas Tree ornaments.  Just in time to give us the opportunity to make some for ourselves.
