Well, the weather channel is predicting 50% chance of thunder showers for Saturday so I'm not keen on an outside event. Surely we can get the sale participants to pitch in and do the table thing. We could set a closing time of noon or 1 PM to make that a feasible approach. Half of the gym should be plenty of space.

To give us the most options and weather proof venue, I' made an exec decision and opted for the whole gym. I'll have the VBS stuff out of the way and the tables and chairs are rolled out and ready to set up.
I moved most of my sale stuff over today. I just have to price it now.

I hope we have a good turn-up ! I've got a load of stuff to bring. Funny how as you get older all the stuff that you thought you " might need some day " isn't so important any more ? Some of you old guys will relate to that .

I was amazed at the amount of Stuff I've been holding on to so many years. "I'll use that one of these days" is no longer a valid argument. Anyhow, I hope a lot of stuff finds a new home this weekend.

It's probably too late to change things now, but I don't know why we set 6:30 as meeting time tonight. Most All of use are retired and could have met at anytime today. I'll be around home or at the gym all day if you need or want to come earlier.

Here's another oddity. A guy from the city stopped by yesterday and said I needed to go to the city hall and get a permit for the sale. So I went up there this morning and the recorder said it would cost $19 for a vendor permit. I told him I wasn't going to pay him anything for me to sell my own stuff. He thought the club was having one of those big Chinese tool sales. Since it was our own stuff that was more like a yard sale, and it would only be $10. I told him I wasn't going to pay anything, that the club was non-profit. So they gave me a permit for free. Government - sigh.

I knew it would happen ! This morning I had second thoughts about a few things I was going to bring to the sale. The idea that " I might need this some some day " is very strong.

Been trying to fight the "You really might need that" feeling. I've had the stuff for years and I even have duplicates. So out it goes.

I got every thing I hope to unl_ . . . er; ugh! sell to some lucky dude with cash loaded into the car but now I can't make it tonight anyway. I'll get there early tomorrow morning though [and stay late to help move tables if needed]. Sometimes the best plans don't go the way you plan them. Then again, I don't think it will matter much in the course of time.
