Yeap it can happen. You might need some wood hardener with that punky wood. It sure is hard to give up on some of the wood we turn not knowing what is hidden a little deeper.

I was thinking CA glue but I think I have a bottle of hardener in my cabinet. That sounds like a plan. :D
