Note the shape of the insert on this photo. The outer cut on the medallion is an offset from the inner oval meaning that it should be the same shape but just a fixed distance outward. In other words, it's supposed to be a symmetrical oval in the X and the Y dimensions. One wonders !!!

I had a problem with my little shark on two different occasions that turned circles into ovalish objects. The coupler on the Y axis motor had a loose set screw. the coupler is under the bed at the front of the machine.

I'll check that right away. That could be a disaster in the right situation. Thanks for letting me know.

BTW: I've been told that I had a screw loose but I think they meant something other than CNC related. :lol:
