Senior moment

Just one moment of inattention:

The door 12 feet back before and after replacing

What would have been the work piece

After the senior moment.

I"ll bet you guessed what happened here.

Other than a red face and a minor ache in my left thumb there's no injury or damage but it could have been worse. I put the splitter back on after the event. Should have had it on before. Believe it or not, this is the first kickback I've had in many years. I always use the splitter for ripping [well not this time though  ] and can't imagine not using it other than distraction.

WOW! Sure glad you were not in the line of fire. It took a couple of good hits to my gut before I learned to stand to the side back when I first started using a table saw. That was back before I had ever heard of a splitter.

Certainly glad you were out of the line of fire ! We all know it's best to stand off to the side when sawing but all of us forget some times. Most of the times we get away with it. Sometime ----- ouch.

WOW!!!! We must have "juniors" and "seniors" having "moments". I think everyone has forgotten about the Forum.
It could be that everyone is in the shop making those special items for their family and friends.
It could be that everyone had a big lunch and went to sleep.
I am going to try to wake them up by shouting out below:

HEY, ALL YOU WOODWORKERS OUT THERE. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE SAWDUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :geek:
