Tonado damage

Postby loyd » Sun Dec 04, 2016 1:18 pm

My wife and I went through the Ovaca and Fairways area of Tullahoma yesterday to check on a friend's home and were surprised to see the extent of the damage by the tornado to trees and homes in the area. There's damage right near Ken Daniel's [sharpening service] home with trees down nearby. The major part of the damage was in the Fairways subdivision with roofs damaged, fences blown apart, power poles down, and trees uprooted. The city was out there clearing up tree debris that had been drawn down to the curb, but there was lots of timber laying down in yards.

An enterprising wood turner/gatherer could check with the landowners to get permission to take some of debris for turning bowls and other items.
