Thought I'd close out this post with a photo of the finished bed. Well, almost finished: My seamstress is busy making a mattress and spread for it.

One more post on the doll bed project. Hello Kitty is her favorite story book so LaDoris made the mattress and coverlet with that fabric.

The first thing a new mother has to do when given a doll bed is to make sure it's strong enough.

Ref: Little girl sitting on bed. I agree the doll beds must be checked for strength. My granddaughter did the same thing, I held my breath as she sat on the bed, but the bed passed the test.

I'm still a bit blue around the gills after that event. I wonder if it's still not broken. I didn't stay for the bounce test. :roll:
