Fastening one end of a 40" plus rail section to the end of a 30" plus section at an angle [18.5 deg] is challenging -- at least if you intend it to stay connected when someone uses it as a hand rail. In this case we're using epoxy and biscuits. Regular size 0 biscuits are too long so a slot cutter and 1/8" plywood are being substituted. The whole thing goes over the railing [shown previously] and makes it look like it has wood sections. Not for the
weak of heart.
