Parking Lot Sale

Postby loyd » Fri Sep 09, 2016 6:31 am

There is interest currently being discussed on the Exchanging Stuff Forum about having a parking lot sale for members to buy and sell tools and/or materials from each other. This would be an opportunity for those just starting out in the craft to get the needed tools at a bargain price while giving those with tools they no longer use a chance to sell them to appreciative fellow woodworkers.
The sale would be conducted [see poll]. Sale negotiations and arrangements will be between buyer and seller.
Richard Gulley has volunteered, if there is enough interest, to arrange to have the sale in the parking lot at the Nazarene Church property – 501 Cumberland St, Decherd, TN 37324. In the event of inclement weather, the gym will be available as a backup.

Well I voted the 8th of Oct but it don't really matter to me. I have an old lathe I need to move out of the way.

My lathe has an old operator. Don't know if that is a candidate for the parking lot sale! :geek:

It's seldom worth the effort to try rehabilitating an ole operator Southpaw so it may be hard to move it at a simple yard sale. Maybe an auction.

My goal is to end up with less than I started with. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with stuff that doesn't sell. I plan on having a free box and a really cheap box. It's pretty much an "everything must go" sale.
