I sent Loyd the link to this one while the forum was down. This is a friend in Canada that was turning the bottom of a bowl when the vacuum gave out. The video is about 16 minutes but the first 2 minutes shows what happened. He was very lucky and this is a good reminder we all need to be careful in the shop.

I watched it all the way though. It's a must see video if you're using, or planning to use, a vacuum chuck.
