Wedgie sled for cutting segments

I've never thought I had the temperament for gluing up segmented blanks, but I saw this sled that might make me try it someday (tho I seriously doubt it.)

There's also an opportunity for CNC folk to use their 'toy'.

That may be my next project. Things to do in 017 . . . or maybe 018, I really like that CNC machine that Frank Howarth made. In case you missed that check the video on his site http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNvoFTV5tIE. Sid posted that in Frank Howarth's Clouds Bowl Video.

I watched those videos. I might be interested in building a 2X4 or 4X4 CNC. My shark is a bit on the flimsy side. The extruded aluminum is not cheap, but it would make a stout carriage for the router.

Anybody interested in a team build? Build several identical machines as a team effort? I'm no welder, but might be able to contribute in the electronics/software side. There might be some savings in volume purchasing.
