I love this double angle segmented sled. I just cut 12 twelve segment rings and one 24 segment ring. There was one gap and that was in a thick disk for the base. I'm not sure how that came about except it's a thick ring and only 2" in diameter. Probably an operator oversight somewhere along the line.

Both of the templates [30 deg for the 12 seg ring. 15 deg for the 24 seg ring] were cut on the CNC machine. If you want a template it's nice to know a CNC owner. BTW: Be happy to oblige.

The old adage about not having enough clamps holds strong for this kind of work. These quick clamps help get the glue on the segments real quick.

Back to the clamp theme: These strap clamps are a must for this work but no matter how many you have you always need to clamp a ring and don't have the exactly right clamp and have to improvise by connecting two of them together. Time consuming but better than rubber bands.

I'll show the final result when I get arountuet. 8-)

I tried to figure out what if is going to look like just looking at the rings but not real sure. Look forward to seeing it finished.

I'm still working on it Sid. Started doing the ring to ring attachment yesterday. Things should start looking better today if the creek don't rise.

About ready to finish. Not particularly happy with how the shape worked out but sometimes . . .

I don't think the lacquer will make me like this any more.

I like it and when you get a finish on it it should look even better.

It needs a buffing out but it's done otherwise. I'll give it a day or two to cure and then use the Beal system to polish it. Still not happy with the shape.

Looks better with a finish on it. The shape is different from what I normally see from you but that sure don't mean its not good. I'm sure someone is going to love it when they get it!
