Carving Rope

Postby pjalbert » Mon Feb 20, 2017 11:15 am

Three dimensional rope is much more difficult to lay-out and carve than a two-dimensional relief carving because misalignment or misshaping of the strands is easily spotted. Having tried and failed to carve rope several times, I tried to develop a simple and foolproof method. I have documented the procedure that I used to carve three-dimensional rope for a tool box handle in the attachment. I would appreciate any feedback that will improve on the method.
