a. Tom has done some preliminary work.  His son David will slab some lumber and cut it up to be rounded on a bandsaw.  Tom said he’d work on that but Henry Davis and Vince Zaccardi said that they would do the bandsaw work to get the blanks round.

b. A decision was made to have members bring their own lunch.

c. The Club will furnish the drinks.

d. Karen will notify the members who want to use chucks to bring them to the event if they have them.

e. Loyd will blast an email to the membership with information on the turning bee after the meeting at Larry’s shop.

5.  Picnic May 18  -- Karen will compose an email giving the details of the picnic and Loyd will blast an email to the membership.

6. Shop tours May 25 – Doyle reported that the shop tour was set up and Karen will show the details at the May 21st meeting.  It was decided to have breakfast at 0830 at the Monteagle Diner, 740 West Main, Monteagle just southwest of exit 134 on I-24.  Then go to Dean Lutz’s shop and finish off at Geoff Roehm’s shop.

7.  Seminar October 19:  Tom made a strong plea for a fall seminar in 2013.  All agreed that we should do that and consider having Sernicola cater the event as they did once before.  Discussion revealed a desire to have two presenters and to have the event at Tom’s “Cowan Artisan” location.  Tom will contact Scott Tinker and Ronnie Young to see if they’ll present at the event.

8.  Exposition:  Discussion concerning the many things that need doing for the exposition ensued but Phil told that he and Dan Maher will be meeting with the Sewanee representative on May 1st to get information needed for planning.  Decisions were deferred until that meeting takes place and is reported.

9.  Library:  Henry brought up disposition of the library which is in very low usage.  Several suggestions ensued including gifting it to another club (e.g. NAWC, SRW), but no decision made.  Henry will pursue this and report to the committee.
