Tenn. Valley Woodworkers Club Minutes - Nov. 17, 2015 

President Paul Fulks opened the meeting at 6:35 pm.

Stanley Dunn brought 2 basswood boards for the carvers to use with the provision that anyone taking it should commit to posting the results on the Club’s forum.

Paul asked what a Martha Washington chair, a Dolly Madison table and a Andrew Jackson press have in common (the answer will be given in the program).

Guests were Dennis Urbanczik from the Czech Republic and John Yoder from the Huntsville wood club.

There is a web site for woodworkers: IZZY SWANN on U-Tube. A folding picnic table was shown and plans are available for sale.

Also a web site "THINK woodworking tools" was mentioned.

The carvers meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Jim Jolliffe’s shop.

The program tonight is on sideboards by Gary Walker.

December 15th, 2015 is our annual super show and tell program.

The Christmas dinner and 30th Anniversaty celebration is Dec 10th at Boskeys restaurant at Willow Brook golf course starting at 5:00 pm and dinner at 6:00 pm, with a 30th anniversary presentation to follow.

Jack Kincella will set up shop tours for next year, but one last tour is on Nov. 28th (Sat) at Mike Addington's shop in Tullahoma. Meet at Hardee’s at 8:00 am and go out to the first house on the left on Ledford Mill road past LOWES.

Builders Supply (the old Hawks Lumber) will stock Duralac lacquers. Briggs Paint in Manchester already has the Duralac lacquer in stock.
